ACEOs (Art Cards, Editions & Original) and ATCs (Artist Trading Cards)

Artist Trading Cards are individual art miniatures. Some sources have credited M. Vänçi
Stirnemann, who began trading sessions in Zurich, Switzerland in 1997, as popularizing ATCs in
the modern era, although modern ATC's can be traced back to portrait miniatures and to a kind of
business card popular with Impressionistic era artists of the 19th and 20th centuries.

The practice is meant to explore the temporal miniature in art and circulate small works more widely.

These miniature art quilts are made from printed cotton fabric, and are decoratively quilted
(top stitched) with variegated color rayon embroidery thread.

They are 2.5" x 3.5" (6.35cm x 8.89 cm) and 1.5 mm thick, about the thickness of two
baseball/collector cards.

The backs are cotton fabric, with my logo label. Instead of batting I used a heavy interfacing,
to resemble card stock. Backing color will vary.
